Culture
“Team-Oriented” and “Learning” comes to mind when we think about the culture at KROST. We are a collective group of talented professionals who enjoy providing creative solutions to our clients. We focus on helping our staff grow by presenting opportunities and projects that are challenging. Having three offices, we are reminded of communication, communication, and communication. As a learning culture, we create an environment where we can constantly learn from one another. We strive to develop a well-rounded professional, not only in technical proficiency but also in being community-minded. Our Events Committee organizes several events during the year where our staff learn about each other and exchange ideas. Our Volunteer Committee plans external events as well as multiple internal activities for our staff to participate in — the spirit of volunteerism takes place throughout the year. We are proud to be named Accounting Today's Top 100 Firm and Regional Leader of 2023. » Learn more
Buddy Program
Your first three months at the firm are critical. Our formal buddy program will get you introduced and plant roots. The sooner you are settled in, the sooner you can actively participate in the firm. Everyone wants to contribute and bring value to whatever they do.
Leadership Development
Our staff has many opportunities to develop their leadership skills through our various committees and programs. Participation in our volunteer committee provides opportunities for our staff to have a voice in firm activities and events. In our College Recruiting Committee, our younger staff members help interview and identify future leaders for the firm. Our management program encourages managers to lead discussions in an open forum during our annual management meeting.
The Balance Scorecard
As part of our performance management process, we’ve developed balance scorecards. It’s a tool used to establish goals that align with corporate objectives. You and your supervisor will first meet to discuss and create your goals, then meet on a quarterly basis to discuss your progress. This is then tied to the annual review process at the end of the year.
