Jean Hagan, Principal and leader of KROST’s restaurant practice, was featured on the SoCal Restaurant radio show hosted by Andy Harris on May 9th, 2020. 48,000 listeners and hundreds of live streamers tuned in as Jean discussed the future of dining out and provided sound advice on how restaurants should gradually prepare for the return of table service. Times are tough for this unprecedented time with assumptions that there will be varying city and state restrictions that will reduce the capacity of restaurants.

As the government plans for each city’s reopening, restaurants have to learn how to thrive in the new environment. The restaurant industry is a true indicator of the overall economy, consumer confidence, and disposable income figures. Unfortunately, the restaurant industry is not going to be anywhere close to where we left off in March, it’s going to be different for a long time or possibly change the industry forever.
