On September 28, 2016, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to attend the Share Our Strength Los Angeles No Kid Hungry Dinner at a beautiful private residence in Santa Monica. The evening was filled with Hollywood elites, celebrity chef plates, and curated wine. In addition to raising money and awareness to end childhood hunger in America, we also honored our client Hans Rockenwagner, founder of the Rockenwagner Bakery Group.
The evening began with a reception in the spacious backyard with food stations from local celebrity chefs including another of our clients, Michael Cimarusti, as well as several mixology stations encouraging guests to build their own craft cocktails.
Dinner was served on their enormous tennis court which was transformed into a beautiful al fresco dining room. Guests were treated to a delicious three-course meal featuring plates from Suzanne Goin, Nancy Silverton, Jon Shook, and Vinny Dotolo. Our long table was made up entirely of Rockenwagner employees and their friends, family, and colleagues.
The evening’s MC was John Stamos and we also heard from Billy Shore, the founder, and CEO of Share of Strength, as well as Jamie Lee Curtis who introduced our honoree for the evening. The event ended with a lavish auction that generated an additional half million dollars to end childhood hunger in America.
We left to the croons of Seth McFarlane and a group of legendary musicians performing classic rat pack era songs. It was an incredible night for an incredible cause, and KROST CPAs was honored to be there to support our clients and the amazing work of Share Our Strength.
