Pasadena, CA. – KROST CPAs and Consultants, the Los Angeles-based firm, has announced their co-sponsorship of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) George Willie Ethnically Diverse Student Scholarship & Internship Program. This scholarship and internship program will benefit ethnically diverse full-time students pursuing an accounting degree.
The George Willie Ethnically Diverse Student Scholarship & Internship Program is open to current undergraduate and graduate students and will award up to $10,000 to 10 winners. KROST will sponsor a winner’s internship in 2022 during busy season. The program honors George Willie, former chair of the PCPS Executive Committee and AICPA Minority Initiatives Committee. Willie has spent his career supporting students and young professionals pursuing their CPA designation.

The winners’ applications will be reviewed and selected based on academic accomplishments, leadership, and accounting career goals. Applications are due April 16, 2021. Winners will be announced by July 31, 2021.
